She has done the challenge with us and I'm so glad that we all did an awesome job. We learned a lot of new techniques. Some we like. Some we don't like as much. Lol

Day 30 ~~> Inspired by a Tutorial

Hello Lacquer-istas'

Today calls for inspired by a tutorial.  Now... I love watching tutorials on YouTube and learning new techniques and getting inspired by the many different designs. Several months ago I came across this tutorial by cutepolish and I found it to be so beautiful that I knew when this day came I would use this video today.  I did tweak it a little bit by changing the background color to a more orange reddish color and made the dots a bit bigger but I think it came out pretty good.

I am including the tutorial in my post today so you can see how quick and easy it was to do these beautiful monarch butterflies.

Day 29~~> Inspired by Supernatural

Hello Monday!!!

We only got a couple of days left and this challenge will be over. :-(

Today brings us the Supernatural. I decided to do little aliens on two nails because I really like this color green by Color Club, it's from the Poptastic Collection.

I made his mouth kinda oval but that's because they have a surprised look on their face.  They are probably thinking "OMG look at this chick with all that nail polish!!"

Let me know what you think.

Day 28 ~~> Inspired by a Flag

This post is very dear to my heart as my dad is Dominican.
He passed away on September 15, 2011. I miss him terribly and during my entire mani I was thinking about him.

I got this mani done in no time. I got it on the first try. I've never blocked before and I think I nailed it on the 1st try. I know my dad is still with me everywhere I go.
He lives within me, he lives in my heart.

I love you Papi and miss you more and more everyday. Can't wait for the day that we are reunited.

Day 27 ~~> Inspired by Artwork

Hello Lacq-A-Holics,

Today brings us to day 27, only a few more days left and I complete my 31 day nail challenge.

Now back to business. Lol.
ARTWORK
I have always loved the arabesque look. It's so whimsical yet elegant. When you draw it, it's like you can't make a mistake because you draw what comes from your heart. Kinda like when you do your nails. You pick your color and draw whatever comes to mind.
Sometimes it's planned, but sometimes it's not.

Tell me what kind of art work are you interested in and how do you incorporate it into your nails.

Day 26 ~~> Inspired by Pattern

Hello Everyone

TGIF!! It's been a long week for me. I barely had time to do my nails but I had to make sure that I squeeze that in.

Today's inspiration comes from the chevron pattern. I seen this pattern on some curtains a while back ago. I really like this design.. I used it as a modified French Manicure but with a twist. I made the top black and the bottom a light pearl color, since my hand isn't always so steady I decided to add a little shimmer by separating the two colors with a line of silver glitter polish.

Since I'm in such a rush today. I didn't do a good job of cleaning it up to make it neater but you get the point of my pattern. LOL!!

Have a great weekend and come back tomorrow for some artwork.  GTG!!

Day 25 ~~> Inspired by Fashion

Hello Lacquer-nistas,

Today brings us to day 25, WOW!!
  Inspired by Fashion.
To me fashion would include my nails.
I try to match my polish to what I wear and so it's a big part of my decision process of what I'm going to wear. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this. Lol.

I love the China Glaze logo, it's simple yet elegant. I decided to put the logo on just one nail to really make it pop and stand out. Th name of the polish is called Riveting and it lives up to its name.

So tell me do you make fashion decisions based on your polish??

Have a great Friday eve!!!
